Technical Web Designer (2009 – 2011)

Position Roles and Highlights
- Answering a brief to produce various JPG format ‘page banner’ and landing page designs from clients such as Universal, Warner Brothers, Apple, Fox and more.
- Using XHTML, CSS and the Play.com multi-syntax code to produce the final design in code within the core Play.com website.
- Produce side banners and affiliate banners to promote the newly built landing pages.
- Liase with the test team to ensure all area’s of my project has been fully tested and error-free before setting live.

Johnston Press PLC, Technology Solutions:
User Interface Designer (2007 – 2009)

Position Roles and Highlights
- Produced various JPG format web designs of potential final products. Discuss and explain reasons for the designs with project stakeholders.
- Using a combination of Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash and Adobe Illustrator create stakeholders chosen design as live working website.
- Hand coded all final websites as validated (X)HTML and CSS.
- Designed and built the popular LocalPagesToday.co.uk business directory website.
- Designed ‘themes’ (designs) for the new widget based website admin of Scotsman.com one of the UK’s largest newspapers.
- Created the new local entertainment website for Johnston Press called Mywhatson.co.uk
- Maintained and fixed issues on all three of our main ‘today’ branded vertical websites. Jobstoday.co.uk, Motorstoday.co.uk and Propertytoday.co.uk

East Midlands Newspapers, Peterborough Evening Telegraph:
Graphic Designer (2003 – 2007)

Position Roles and Highlights
- Daily objective was to liase with sales reps and produce various advertising visuals for clients using Adobe Photoshop and Quark X Press. The adverts were to appear in our products: Peterborough Evening Telegraph, Peterborough Citizen, Peterborough on Sunday, Property Today, Motors Today, Jobs Today, ET Life and various supplements.
- Designed full page supplement covers for The Evening Telegraph and Peterborough Citizen Newspapers.
- Creating in house advertising and hoarding including a large Peterborough Evening Telegraph sponsorship board at Peterborough United Football Club.
- Design adverts for a monthly glossy magazine called Exclusive.
- Creating various sized banners for our website Peterborough Today using Photoshop and Image Ready.
